Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Ingantt (“the App,” “the Service”), a project scheduling application provided by Ingantt Development (“we,” “us,” “our”). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

Ingantt is a cross-platform project scheduling application that provides:

Project scheduling using the Critical Path Method (CPM) algorithm
Task management with dependencies, constraints, and resource assignments
Gantt chart visualization and rendering
Resource management and resource leveling
Calendar and work schedule management
Project import and export in XML (Microsoft Project compatible), CSV, PDF, and Markdown formats
Microsoft Project (.mpp) file conversion via our server
Google Drive integration for file storage and sharing
AI-powered project creation (“Create with AI”)

The App is available on Web (web.ingantt.com and via Google Workspace Marketplace), iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you must have parental or guardian consent. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

3. Account and Authentication

The web version of the App requires Google Sign-In for authentication. On other platforms, Google Sign-In may be available for features such as Google Drive integration. By signing in, you authorize us to access your basic profile information (name and email address) for account identification, license management, and service delivery.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at support@ingantt.com of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Purchases and Payment

4.1 Purchasing Models

The App uses different purchasing models depending on the platform:

Web (web.ingantt.com and Google Workspace Marketplace): The App operates on a subscription basis with monthly and yearly plans. A free trial may be available for new users. Certain features require an active subscription to access.
iOS (App Store), Android (Google Play), macOS (App Store), and Windows (Microsoft Store): The App is available as a one-time paid purchase. All features are included with your purchase. No in-app purchases or subscriptions are required.

4.2 Web Subscription Details

For the web version of the App:

Free Trial: New users may receive a free trial period with access to the App’s features. The trial period begins upon first use.
Subscription Plans: After the trial period, continued access requires an active subscription (monthly or yearly). Pricing is displayed within the App.
Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the renewal date.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through the App or by contacting support@ingantt.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

4.3 Payment Processing

Payments are processed through the applicable platform:

iOS and macOS (App Store): Managed through Apple and subject to Apple’s terms
Android (Google Play): Managed through Google Play and subject to Google’s terms
Windows (Microsoft Store): Managed through Microsoft and subject to Microsoft’s terms
Web: Managed through our third-party payment processor (WayForPay) and subject to their terms

4.4 Refunds

Refund policies are governed by the platform through which you made your purchase:

Apple App Store: Subject to Apple’s refund policy
Google Play Store: Subject to Google’s refund policy
Microsoft Store: Subject to Microsoft’s refund policy
Web: Contact support@ingantt.com for refund requests within 7 days of purchase

5. User Content and Data

5.1 Your Project Files

You retain full ownership of all project files, schedules, and data you create or import using the App (“User Content”). We do not claim any ownership rights over your User Content.

5.2 Local Storage

Project files may be stored locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your local files. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from device failure, app uninstallation, or other events outside our control.

5.3 Google Drive Storage

If you choose to use Google Drive integration, your files are stored in a folder called “Ingantt Schedules” in your personal Google Drive account and are subject to Google’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. The App uses the limited drive.file scope, which means it can only access files it creates or files you explicitly open in the App — it does not have access to your entire Google Drive. We access your Google Drive only to read, write, and manage project files as directed by you.

5.4 Autosave

The App may automatically save your work to internal storage as a safeguard against data loss. Autosaved data is stored locally on your device.

5.5 Data We Collect

In the course of providing the Service, we may collect and process:

Your email address and name (for authentication and license management)
Payment information (processed by third-party payment providers; we do not store full payment details)
App usage and error data (for crash reporting and stability improvements)
AI prompts you submit when using the “Create with AI” feature (forwarded to third-party AI providers, not retained on our servers)
Feedback you submit, which may include project file attachments

6. AI-Powered Features

6.1 Create with AI

The App offers AI-powered project creation. When you use this feature:

Your text prompts are sent to our server, which forwards them to Anthropic (Claude) for processing. We do not retain your prompts on our servers. The processing of your prompts by Anthropic is subject to their terms of service and privacy policy.
Generated project schedules are provided as starting points and should be reviewed for accuracy
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content
You are solely responsible for reviewing and validating any AI-generated schedules before relying on them

6.2 No Professional Advice

AI-generated content does not constitute professional project management advice. You should exercise independent judgment when using AI-generated project plans.

7. Microsoft Project Compatibility

7.1 File Format Support

The App supports import and export of XML files compatible with Microsoft Project. The App can also convert various project file formats (including .mpp, .mpt, .mpx, .gan, .xer, and others) to XML via our server-side conversion service. Uploaded files are processed in memory and are not retained on our servers.

7.2 Compatibility Disclaimer

While we strive for compatibility with Microsoft Project file formats, we do not guarantee perfect fidelity in all cases. Some features, formatting, or data present in Microsoft Project files may not be fully supported. You should verify converted files for accuracy.

7.3 No Affiliation

Ingantt is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Microsoft Corporation. “Microsoft Project” is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Circumvent any access restrictions, subscription checks, or security measures
Interfere with or disrupt the App’s servers or infrastructure
Use automated means to access the App beyond its intended interfaces
Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App or any portion thereof
Use the App to transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code
Misuse the AI feature to generate harmful, illegal, or inappropriate content

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Our Rights

The App, including its code, design, algorithms, user interface, documentation, and branding, is the intellectual property of Ingantt Development and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

9.2 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App in accordance with these Terms and your purchase or subscription status.

10. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services including but not limited to:

Google (Sign-In, Drive, OAuth2, Workspace Marketplace, Analytics)
Apple (App Store)
Google Play (Google Play Store)
Microsoft (Microsoft Store)
WayForPay (payment processing for web subscriptions)
Anthropic (Claude) (AI-powered project creation)
Sentry (client-side error reporting)
Resend (transactional email delivery for web subscriptions)
Microsoft Azure (server hosting, data storage, and application monitoring)

Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.

11. Cookies and Analytics

The web version of the App uses Google Analytics 4 to collect standard usage analytics such as page views and session data. Google Analytics may set cookies on your browser. You can use browser-based cookie blocking or opt-out tools to limit this data collection. Native mobile and desktop versions of the App do not use cookies or analytics tracking.

12. Data Protection Commitments

We do not use your data to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States (where our backend server is hosted on Microsoft Azure, East US region) and the EU (where client-side crash reports are processed by Sentry). By using the App, you consent to these transfers.

13. Email Communications

By using the web version of the App and creating an account, you agree to receive transactional emails related to your account and subscription, including:

Welcome and onboarding messages
Trial expiration notifications
Subscription activation and cancellation confirmations

These are service-related communications necessary for the operation of your account, not marketing emails.

14. Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support@ingantt.com. Upon receiving a valid request, we will delete your account information from our servers. Please note that:

Files stored on your Google Drive are managed by you and are not affected by account deletion
Files stored locally on your device are not affected by account deletion
We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as payment records)

15. Service Availability

15.1 No Guarantee of Availability

We strive to maintain the App’s availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. The App, including server-dependent features (file conversion, AI project creation), may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

15.2 Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

16. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

THE APP WILL MEET YOUR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE
SCHEDULING CALCULATIONS, CRITICAL PATH ANALYSIS, OR RESOURCE LEVELING RESULTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE
AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE, SUITABLE, OR FREE FROM ERRORS
FILE CONVERSIONS WILL PRESERVE ALL DATA WITH PERFECT FIDELITY

17. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL INGANTT DEVELOPMENT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

LOSS OF DATA OR PROJECT FILES
BUSINESS INTERRUPTION OR LOSS OF PROFITS
DAMAGES ARISING FROM RELIANCE ON SCHEDULING CALCULATIONS OR AI-GENERATED CONTENT
DAMAGES ARISING FROM THIRD-PARTY SERVICE FAILURES

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

18. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ingantt Development from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from:

Your use of the App
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights
Your User Content

19. Termination

19.1 By You

You may stop using the App at any time. If you have a web subscription, you may cancel it following the procedures described in Section 4.2 above.

19.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice, including for violation of these Terms.

19.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your license to use the App ceases. Your locally stored project files remain on your device. Files stored on Google Drive remain in your Google Drive account.

20. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the “Last Updated” date and, where practicable, through in-app notice. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

21. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the applicable arbitration authority in the jurisdiction where Ingantt Development is established.

22. General Provisions

22.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Ingantt Development regarding the App.

22.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

22.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

22.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights without restriction.
